Our Mission
Music is a powerful tool for social connection and positive change.
We believe that every child (and adult!) is capable of using music to express themselves. It is a truly accessible form of self expression, although music education is typically expensive and hard to access.
Research has shown that musical learning has a positive impact on children's mathematics and literacy skills. It also supports motor development and healthy social connection between care giver and child.
In our classes for under 5's, we aim to bring music at it's most fundamental level to children under the age of 5, the sooner children are exposed to musical learning, the greater the impact.
In our classes for children with Special Educational Needs and Disability, music is taught in an accessible way, to equip children and young people with another means of self-expression and to nurture self-confidence.
In Music Therapy sessions, children and families are invited to use music together to work towards non-musical aims. These might be to support social, or emotional development, or to support psychological wellbeing.
